I got some disappointing news earlier this week.
Nothing life-threatening, but something I was really hoping would come to fruition, did not. I had spent a lot of time and energy working towards this goal. Stepped waaay out of my comfort zone for the sake of viewing impact from new heights… and it just didn’t come to be.
I was bummed. I was surprised. And if I’m being honest, for a few minutes, I felt defeated.
But then I was reminded of my prayer when I started out on this endeavor: “God, if this is for me, make it happen. If it isn’t, close the door.” It might be more nuanced than that, but I’m choosing to believe that this opportunity just wasn’t the one for me then.
Through all of this I was also reminded that He is the one who has written my story. His plans for me are good. He holds it all together so I don’t have to.
And I thank Him.
Amen! yes God does close some doors for us, but he opens others too. He opens the doors that are perfect for us. and those are the things that we should look out for. I usually know for sure that God wants me to do something if I’ve stayed with it for a while. Because I have a problem committing to things. Well it’s not a big problem, but on some things it’s a struggle. I’ve tried to start my own business, I’ve tried to start a YouTube channel, I’ve tried to start a lot of things and really it’s the things that God wants from me to stick with that really comes to fruition. and I know it because the things that he gives me, I absolutely love it. And that’s the way that God designed it to be. Just remember to work hard at whatever it is that you need to work hard at and God will bless you for it. Amen to this blog post
