She loves this little guy SO much. And although he’s “just a dog”, I’m almost certain that he loves her very much too.
The things he lets her do to him (put headbands on his head, be her dancing partner, “train him”- which basically means she pushes and moves his body around so it appears that he has followed her command 😆), the way that he runs from wherever he’s at in the house to be by her side if he senses that she is sad, hurt, or crying; are just some of the ways in which he shows his love for her.
I don’t mean for this to get too deep, but being home more these past few days and being able to observe their love more frequently, has reminded me that seldom do we affirm to the people that we love that we love them by telling them. Love is far and wide affirmed by *showing* someone with our actions. The way in which we *treat* those that we say we love far outlasts the words we say to them.
Kobe isn’t able to say a word to Char, but in this year and a half that we have had him, he has been able to convey his love for her through the way in which he treats her.
Never underestimate the ability you have to make someone *feel* loved. Words are important, but actions leave an imprint.
